On the 9 September
2011 the Winter theatre in Sochi will host the introduction of the new project of the International
festival-school TERRITORIYA — the multimedia show FULL MOON (POLNOLUNIE). The show is the result of collaboration between festival’s
art-direction and musical curator Theodor Currentzis, set up especially for the Cultural Olympiad Sochi 2014.
The Cultural Olympiad Sochi 2014 is the unique project of first Russian Winter Games, that harbour one of the best cultural events of the country.
During the period
2010-2014 all over the country with Sochi in the center, different projects dedicated to : cinema (2010), theatre (2011), music (2012), museums (2013) will take place. A lot of concerts, festivals, shows, movies and exhibitions are ready to be represented to the world. The mission of The Cultural Olympiad Sochi 2014 is to maintain and keep the unique cultural heritage of Russia and also to attract peoples’ attention to cultural life of the country and to The Winter

800 events during
2011 presented the traditions of academic and contemporary theatre. That’s why in 2011 under the aegis of The Cultural Olympiad, two most important and interesting projects were organized: The
all-Russian children’s contest The World of Peace and The Theatrical Contest Tekstura-Olymp. The first one was intended to help children to re-examine their dreams and abilities, to express their creative potential, and meet
real-life stars of the theater. And the latter has been called upon to find the best theatrical troupes in Russia. These budding theaters had a great chance to show off and get their own audience and fame.
