![]() Art Directors: Maria Mironova | ![]() Mironova studied at the Vakhtangov Theatre Drama School and the National Institute of Cinematography (Mikhail Gluzsky's class of acting) which she finished in 1996. In the same year she joined the Lenkom Theatre where she appeared in Beaumarchais' The Marriage of Figaro (Fanchette), Two Women after Ivan Turgenev (Verochka), The Barbarian and the Heretic after Dostoyevsky (Mademoiselle Blanche), Hangman's Lamentations after Anouilh and Friedrich Durrenmatt (Actress, Eurydice); Moliere's Tartuffe (Elmira), Durrenmatt's The Visit (Clara). At the Theatre of Nations she appeared in Andrei Zholdak's productions of The Experience of Assimilating the Play The Seagull through the Stanislavsky System (Nina Zarechnaya), Phaedra. The Golden Ear (Phaedra/Vera Ivanovna), Carmen. The Exodus (Carmen). Golden Mask National Theatre Award in Best Female Part nomination for the role of Phaedra/Vera Ivanovna (2007) Winner of Star Prize in the Actress of the Year nomination (2007) and the Prize of Theatregoer magazine in Best Actress in Five Years nomination. Cofounder of Artists Support Foundation (2008). Mironova made her debut in film in childhood appearing in Stanislav Govorukhin's movie The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. She also appeared in Pavel Lungin's The Wedding and The Oligarch; Alexander Proshkin's The Russian Rebellion; Timur Bekmambetov's The Night Watch and The Day Watch, Natasha Pogonicheva's The Drinking Bout Theory; Igor Kozhevnikov's and Valentin Donskov's A Parcel from March; Philip Yankovsky's Councilor of State; Anton Sivers's The Swing, Stanislav Govorukhin's No One But Us. She also acted in such TV series as Alexander Buravsky's The Glacial Epoch; Vsevolod Plotkin's The Leading Parts; Vladimir Hotinenko's The Fall of the Empire; Chris Spencer's and M. Everest's Space Race; Rezo Gigineishvili's Nine Months. |
